On October 13 students of 1st and 2nd year of high school went to the Centro de Investigación Príncipe Felipe (CIPF). This center is dedicated to research in three key areas:
- Area of Regenerative Medicine: pursue regenerate damaged organs and improve human health
- Department of Chemistry and Quantitative Biology: The goal is to understand the molecular mechanisms that govern biological processes
- Area of Biomedicine: trying to understand the molecular basis of human disease.
During the visit, students were informed about the various careers in biology, medicine and chemistry and their applications in the labor market. They also had the opportunity to see the Bioinformatics Laboratory, the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Laboratory and the Laboratory of Structural Biochemistry.
