Persones que ens ajuden en la nostra comunitat local. People Who Help Us in Our Local Community
El curs passat els alumnes més petits van rebre la visita d'un policia. Els nens van gaudir tant que vam decidir repetir l'experiència. L'agent Juan Antonio, un Policia Local de la Nucia, va venir amb el seu vehicle i molts dels articles de l'equip utilitzat pel cos de policia. Els nens van experimentar alguns dels aspectes del que és ser un agent de policia portant la gorra, bufant pel xiulet ¡i encenent i apagant les llums i sirenes del cotxe!
Tots els nens van gaudir enormement de l'experiència.
Una altra visita rebuda a l'escola va ser la de la Dra Trinitat Fuster, que amablement es va oferir per parlar amb els alumnes. Els nens van començar cantant la cançó "Miss Polly and Doyy" que és una coneguda cançó infantil sobre un metge que visita a una nina malalta. La doctora va demostrar l'ús de l'instrumental mèdic que tenia en el seu maletí i els nens van tenir l'oportunitat de jugar a metges i pacients i de provar el estetoscopi entre ells. No hi va haver escassetat de voluntaris per a ser pacients que necessitaven embenats!
Va ser una gran oportunitat perquè els nens aprenguessin de primera mà sobre les persones que ens ajuden, reforçant el treball fet a classe, i també per a establir relació amb la nostra comunitat local.
A tot el personal de Elian's els agradaria agrair a Juan Antonio ia Trinitat seu temps i ajuda dedicats a l'educació dels nostres alumnes.
Links with the police were established last year and the children enjoyed it so much we decideix to repeat the experience. A community police officer from la Nucia came with his vehicle and many elements of equipment used by the police. The children experienced some aspects of what it is like to be a police officer by wearing his hat, blowing his whistle and operating the lights and Siren on the car!
All the children thoroughly enjoyed this experience.
Another visitor to school was Doctor Trinitat Fuster who kindly agree to talk to the pupils. The children començava by singing the song "Miss Polly had a Dolly" a well known Rhyme about a doctor visiting a sick doll! The doctor demonstrated the use of the medical instruments she had in her doctor's bag and the children had the opportunity to role play and even test out a stethoscope on each other.
There was no shortage of volunteers for patients who wanted to be bandaged up!
It was a great opportunity for the children to learn first hand about the people who help us, reinforcing the work they have done in class, and to make links with our local community. Everybody at Elian's would like to thank everyone for giving their time to help with the education of the pupils.
