EXCURSIÓ AMB YEAR 8 PER LA MUNTANYA
Com a complement de les classes de Ciències Socials, els alumnes de days 8 van gaudir d'una jornada al camp, a la falda de Puig Campana, i van poder veure les espècies vegetals que formen el nostre paisatge del bosc mediterrani.
MOUNTAIN WALK WITH YEAR 8
Complementing the 'Ciències Socials' lessons, the pupils from days 8 enjoyed a mountain walk on the Slopes of Puig Campana to study the plants that grow on the Mediterranean forest landscape.
Ja que a classe estàvem estudiant els paisatges naturals i les espècies vegetals que els formen, aprofitant l'entorn en el qual ens trobem, organitzem una classe pràctica amb els alumnes de days 8 per a poder veure de prop algunes d'aquestes formacions.
Ens calcem les botes i comencem a pujar pel vessant del Puig Campana. Amb cada parada els alumnes gaudien de l'entorn i aprenien a diferenciar algunes de les plantes el nom havien vist a l'aula. A més vam poder comprovar la regeneració del bosc mediterrani després d'un incendi, amb noves espècies arbustives i herbàcies.
Va ser sens dubte una experiència divertida i interessant que va mostrar als alumnes que les Ciències Socials no només s'aprenen en els llibres.
As we were studying the flora of the natural landscapes in class, we Organised a practical lesson with the Year 8 pupils, exploiting the environment in which we live, to be able to look closely at some of these formations.
After pulling on our boots, we went for a trek up the Puig Campana Slopes. With each stop the students enjoyed the environment and learned to differentiate between some of the plants that had been studied in class. In addition, we were able to see the forest regeneration since the fire Swept across the landscape last year. New shrubs and herbaceous species are now growing on the hillside.
It was, without doubt, a fun and interesting experience that showed our students that 'Ciències Socials' is not just a lesson for the classroom
