Year 2 children at Elian’s British School, La Nucia, are enjoying finding out about ‘minibeasts’ this term. The topic combines a number of subject areas, and includes scientific observation and investigation of minibeasts and their habitats.
To study this topic the year 2 children are also identifying the key features of non-fiction texts as well as reading and comparing the stories of Eric Carle, many of which feature minibeasts as the main characters.
The term is going to “fly” by!

In days of old, Knights used to ride into battle carrying standards (flags) so that could be easily identified by their friends or enemies. Although we no longer carry flags, we still talk about standards as the personal attributes we demonstrate that show others what type of person we are.
The flags on this board are the six school standards which we work towards. Watch as miniature flags are added to the board showing how our children have demonstrated the various standards. See attachment to view pictures of the miniature flags and standards.

Han empezado un año más en Elians La Nucia las jornadas de Educación Vial para los alumnos desde year 2 a Year 7. Todos los alumnos que participaron lo pasaron en grande y están orgullosos de entender mejor las señales de tráfico.
The Road Safety sessions have started once more at Elian’s La Nucía for students from year 2 to year 7. All the pupils participating had a great time and now having a better understanding of the traffic signs.

Los alumnos de EDI-2, han visitado el Museo de las Artes y las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe. En la zona correspondiente a su edad y donde tenían programadas actividades, divertidas y sobre todo didácticas.

Ballet Club at Elian’s British School, La Nucía

Last year many of our ballet pupils took their first ballet exam and all passed with flying coulours. A few weeks ago they received their certificates and they are already preparing themselves for the next examination.
El año pasado algunas de nuestras alumnas del Club de Ballet realizaron su primer examen de baile clásico y todas aprobaron. Hace solo unas semanas recibieron sus diplomas y ya están preparándose para el siguiente examen que está a la vuelta de la esquina.

COLEGIO IALE. Los “Beatles valencianos” inauguran la I Programación Cultural Ignacio Monzonís

El pasado viernes 17 de diciembre el Colegio Iale inició la I Edición de la Programación Cultural Ignacio Monzonís dirigida a los alumnos desde 4º de Primaria hasta 2ª de Bachillerato.
Con esta programación queremos en primer lugar mantener vivo el recuerdo de nuestro Fundador y Presidente, Ignacio Monzonís, que tanto hizo por la cultura valenciana, y en segundo lugar, hacerlo por medio de la música y la representación escénica, por la que con tanta fuerza ha apostado el colegio.
Esperamos que la exitosa acogida de The Blisters entre todos los asistentes sea tan solo el principio de toda la programación planeada para este curso escolar.
